LAC engineering will be represented at China Wind Energy Exhibition 2010 in Shanghai April 27th-29th. Please visit our boot stand #5C14-15 for a dialogue with our Director of Operations, Anders Steen Nielsen.
Nevena holds a M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade and will bring a significant theoretical capacity to the project which holds the title ‘Recursive operational modal analysis of wind turbines for structural health monitoring’.
Jacob has strong competencies within control systems with past experience from spacecraft and wind turbine technology. Jacob will primary be working with development of advanced turbine control.
LAC engineering’s Director of Operations, Anders Steen Nielsen, was in Beijing from October 19th – 23rd to attend China Wind Power 2009.
Before visiting the exhibition, Anders attended a conference arranged by the Chinese Wind Energy Association in Beijing. At this conference, Anders successfully presented LAC engineering’s software program LACflex. Following, he participated in several client meetings at the China Wind Energy exhibition.
Anders experienced great interest for LAC engineering’s services within aeroelastic simulation, control development and the LACflex software. The Chinese wind turbine industry is a market with great potential, and we are pleased to have acquired interesting projects, which we now continue to work on.
You are welcome to contact us in advance in order to arrange a meeting at the exhibition.
As part of the Marie Curie grant, which LAC engineering received earlier this year (see news from 22-06-2009), we are now looking for a competent MSc to conduct the PhD research SYSWIND within aeroelastic analysis of wind turbines.
See more about the project under Jobs.
We are looking forward to hearing from relevant candidates!
LAC engineering has by the EU been granted funding for conducting a PhD research project within the field of system identification of wind turbines. The project is part of the seventh framework programme (FP-7) and has partners from a number of different European countries, such as Ireland, Holland, Greece, the United Kingdom and Italy.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with and learn from academic and industrial partners who have developed and matured these methods for other applications than wind turbines. I see many possible applications for system identification techniques within the field of load and performance analysis of wind turbines.”
R&D Director Bo Juul Pedersen
Wind Power Asia is Asia’s largest wind power exhibition since its launch in 2003, and we expect to learn about many interesting trends and products within the field of windpower.

LAC engineering turns 1 year the 1st of May!
We have experienced great demand on our engineering consultancy competences in the field of Loads, Aerodynamics and Control. This has allowed our company to increase its staff from 3 engineers to 6 engineers and a communication officer in the first year.
LAC engineering has moreover obtained press coverage by e.g. the Danish business newspaper Børsen in March 2009 and was nominated as “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Favrskov Municipality.Despite the financial crisis, our services experience great demand and many new exciting projects are on their way. This is a desired position, which we will use to further develop LAC engineering as a company through dedicated professionalism and focus on our clients.
We would like to thank our present clients, business partners and network for the support in our first year, and we hope to continue the successful cooperation.

Exhibitioners as well as visitors were very positive and optimistic and, despite the fact that many were busy, Niels encountered high meeting activity with potential clients. Niels engaged in dialogue with new clients as well as new networking relations and he returned to Denmark with firm orders.

The purpose of the EnergyMap.dk portal, which launched on March 1st, is to present the unique array of products, technologies, expertise and knowledge held by Danish business and industry, as well as universities and research institutions. At EnergyMap.dk businesses, clients, investors, as well as the media will be able to find diverse information about the latest technologies, projects, solutions, cases, events, statistics and much more.
From March 16th to March 19th the EWEC exhibition, Europe's premier energy event, takes place in Marseille, France. We will be visiting the exhibition from the 16th to 18th to inform ourselves of the newest trends and products in the industry. At the same time, we would like to meet with exhibiting organizations as well as visitors to EWEC.
We therefore invite you to contact us in advance so we can arrange a meeting at the exhibition.
We look forward to meeting you!

and has been working in Vestas for 8 years with loadcalculations and aeroelastic code development. Anders will be responsible for operations inlcuding development of the LAC engineering aeroelastic code LACflex and other tools supporting LAC engineering services.
Sune Baun Christensen enters LAC engineering by october 1st 2008.
Sune is control engineer (M.Sc.Elec.) from Aalborg University and has been working at Vestas' LAC department as industrial PhD and development engineer since 2004.
Sune's primary work areas in LAC engineering will be control development using classic and modern control methodologies with focus on production control, supervisory control and load reducing control schemes. He will use and develop LACflex as an integrated control tuning tool and will assist in load calculations and load analyses.
Sune will also act as project manager on costumer projects and attend research and technology projects with our university and industry partners.
We are confident that Sune's competences make LAC engineering even more competive in load calculations and control development.
Due to future increase in staff we move to newly build and larger facilities by october 1st. The address remains the same however. We will share offices with RCA engineering which will enforce cross disciplinary synergies and a dynamic and innovative environment.
Successful HUSUM fair. The HUSUM Wind energy fair was a great succes for LAC engineering. We have extensively developed our network to potential customers and corporation partners.
